Current Assets
The Hansen Stadium Project is going to take a great deal of effort from the community and local businesses both in terms of time and monies. The financial details of the project are shown here in an effort of transparency and clear communication. These are all estimated costs based on quotes from the businesses or organizations that we will work with. We will keep this updated to reflect any changes in pricing, design, or other expenses that arise. Moving forward, our remaining fundraising goal for the Hansen Stadium Project is $500,000. We currently have about $90,000 in cash, commitments, or in-kind services.
What's been done so far?
We are not working in a silo to complete this project. A large number of people, organizations, and businesses have contributed to the project. A list of current donors can be found on our donor Hall of Fame. The total amount of these donations totaled about $125,000. About $92,000 of that money was spent on initial permitting, underground drainage, tear down and clean up of old dugouts, and the construction of the new dugouts which are currently being used at Hansen Stadium. This leaves around $33,000 in the bank, which can be seen on line 1 of Current Assets in the above table.
What's next?
We are currently exploring a variety of avenues in which to raise the remainder of the funds. One of the methods that we will pursue is an online fundraising campaign through Crowdrise. Another method to raise funds is through the Hansen Stadium Academy, which will provide math tutoring and/or baseball skills and training for kids in the community. We will also seek local, regional, and national grant opportunities as they arise. Community events will allow us to stay connected with the community supporting our project, have fun, and raise funds.
